Big Island Hawaii Volcano Waterfall Tour - Tour 32A

Featuring the closest views of active lava flows and lush waterfalls

Get as close to the active lava flows as Civil Defense allows on this incredible volcano and waterfall experience

Description

Prepare to experience breathtaking vistas and natural phenomenons. After getting settled into the air-conditioned deluxe mini coaches, the experienced volcano tour guides will begin by providing interesting facts and volcanic history of Hawaii while you travel the short distance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The park is home to the world’s most active volcano, Kilauea. Chances are if you have ever seen an erupting volcano in the news or movies it is footage of Kilauea.

Adventuring through the park will take you across large lava rock fields, through ancient lava tubes to a spectacular vista. At the vista you can observe the incredible sight of lava flowing into the ocean. The panoramic view of the black and green sand beaches, accompanied by clouds of steam rising from the sea will leave you in awe of the fury of Hawaii's volcano goddess, Pele.

After coming as close to lava as possible without regretting the last step, the tour leaves Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, passing cascading waterfalls, through pristine tropical rainforests, coming to rest near Rainbow Falls. You’ll have ample photo opportunities of the stunning waterfall, and time to explore through the tropical flora and fauna.

Before the tour comes to an end, stops are made at the Kona Coffee plantation, where you can savor the taste of real Hawaiian coffee. Also, you will visit the Jagger Museum where you have the opportunity to view volcanic seismographs, as well as exploring the Liliuokalani Japanese gardens.
